David Munis writes, "My wife, Robin, shot her first elk on the second of October in a limited quota hunt area in Wyoming. The bull was traveling with about 10 cows and was trying hard to fend off the satelite bulls around him. I tried cow calling him in, but he refused to leave his cows, so we had to pursue him through the timber. We finally caught up to him on a steep slope and my wife put him down with one shot from her Howa .308 Winchester. This was her first elk and a heck of a way for her to get started off elk hunting!"
