"1957 Monster Muley (Hat/Decal Winner!)"
Photo provided by: Ken Dahlberg

Ken Dahlberg writes, "This buck was taken by my uncle, Richard Dahlberg of Murray, Utah approximately 1957. The buck was taken up Big Cottonwood Canyon east of Salt Lake City. My Uncle, after work at Kennecott Copper, drove up Big Cottonwood Canyon near the last day of the hunt. Uncle Dick hiked up high to get a place to glass where he could see into several small canyons. As evening came this buck got up and headed over the ridge. Uncle Dick fired as the buck went over the ridge and he thought he had missed. When he got over the ridge he saw it laying there and at first glance he said, "I thought at first it was a 1957 Edsel parked there". That was the year Ziniks Sports was giving away an Edsel in Utah's Biggest Buck Contest.
The buck measures 40 1/4" with the cheaters. He did not win the Edsel as there was a larger buck taken that year."
