Ryan Edel writes, "This is my first mule deer ever harvested. I grew up in upstate New York hunting whitetails. I have lived in Utah for five years and last Sunday took this nice buck with my bow while hunting the Wasatch extended archery hunt. This buck was fully in the rut and was in hot pursuit of two does as he came down the mountain. I knew he was nice, but I didn't know then how nice! As he crossed my shooting lane at about 30 yards broadside I was able to penetrate both of his lungs. He traveled about 500 yards across the hill before going down. Thankfully, there was plenty of snow and only a downhill drag to the truck."
