Jeff Malan, his son, Bowdie, and brother, Steve, all drew some good deer tags in Idaho in 2006. Jeff and Bowdie spotted this buck and another bedded. Each shot, but the buck still managed to slip off into the heavy timber. They were thinking the buck had appeared hurt, so they checked for blood and found it. Later in the day they caught up to the buck and finished him off.
