Harold Rose writes, "This is a photo of my 2004 Idaho buck taken 16th of November, 2004. I had drawn an either sex deer tag with my wife, father-in-law, and a neighbor and his son. My wife shot a doe on our first trip. The neighbor boy shot a button buck and my father-in-law shot a two point on our second trip. The neighbor shot a 3-point the third trip and that's when I saw my buck for the first time.
I would see him about an hour before dark and he kept laying down in the tall sagebrush and then dark would set in before I could find him.

Finally, on the morning of the 4th day, I saw him cross a rock pile and I ran as fast as I could to get a shot at him. As I came up on the rock pile, there he was at about 150 yards with about a dozen does. I shot him with my trusty old Savage .243 win. with a Barnes X reload. That bullet made me a true believer. Straight up the buck measures 24" high. It was one of the most memorable hunts of my life, and believe me there have been many."
