Tony Atencio sent us these photos of the fine trophies that his 12 year old cousin, Jesse Vigil, has taken. Jesse was hunting the Southern Ute Reservation in Southwestern Colorado.

Tony writes, "The buck is a 4x4 with pretty good eye guards. He shot it at about 50 yards. He also took a doe at about 65 yards.
The 6x6 bull was called into 35 yards on the morning of Sunday September 24th. Jesse got to encounter a small satelite that came in out of curiosity I suppose at about 8 feet the weekend before. For a while I think Jesse wanted to get up and run off. He was really excited. This 6x6 was his first bull elk. All three were taken with one shot each from a Winchester 7mm Mag. His uncle, Wendell, and I are very proud of him. Jesse has a cow tag left that he hopes he can fill in the coming weeks. We wish him luck."
