"Kansas Muley for Kerry"
Photo provided by: Kerry Evans

Kerry Evans had some nice success in 2013 while hunting Kansas.

Kerry writes, "Made our annual trek to Norton, Kansas to hunt muleys. Man was it cold, it was -8 in the am and warmed all the way up to 12 degrees. I was hunting with my 7mm STW topped with a Burris Eliminator. Me and my brother stalked 2 bucks from over a half a mile. I'm a terrible judge of distance and at around 5 degrees, so was my Burris. I shot twice using the scopes calculated dot and shot over both times. The biggest of the two started hauling down a long slope and I knew my chance was fading fast. I told my bro to cross his fingers. I used my best judgement and estimated @ 500 yds. Put the cross hairs horn high and just ahead of his nose and pulled the trigger. To both of our amazement, the muley did about three summersaults. My bro was certain it had just tripped in a prairie dog hole, but over 600 paces later there he lay, hit him in the neck just behind the jaw."
