Dennis Knapp sent us this photo of his son, Alan (age 13), with his first buck. Alan has been shooting muzzleloaders since he was 6, so when he and his father drew muzzleloader tags in unit 45 of Idaho for the 2001 season, he was ready.
They hunted for eight days before this nice 19" 4x4 presented a shot for Alan, who harvested the buck at 80-100 yards with a Traditions .50 cal youth model flintlock.
