Martin Anaya took this big buck while hunting in northern Arizona in 2002. The buck is 29 inches wide and 27 inches tall.
Martin writes, "I glassed him up and proceeded a stalk on him. I got to about 180 yards when another buck with him (which I didn't even know was there) got up from his bed and moved up the ridge into the timber. My buck just stood up and remained fixated on his buddy. They were bedded in an aspen thicket and the only clear shot I had was through a 8" window at the back of his head through the aspens. I steadied my 7mm mag. using an aspen tree to lean on, and squeezed. He immediately went down. His buddy looked bigger! I think he is still out there."
