Ron Linderman writes, "My brother-in-law, Rich, took this fine buck the last weekend of general deer season. This buck didn't want to surrender! It took two days of tracking the deer over several miles in pretty tough country. This is even after he took a good hit and even suffered a broken back leg from the ordeal.
Rich gave it his all to track and recover his wounded deer and reduce it to possesion. While cleaning the buck, Rich found an old graze mark along this buck's neck and follwed the path of it along the side of the head where the bullet had pierced its ear.
The buck was an 9x7 and taken with a .270.
