It was a hot hunt with the temps. in the mid 90's at 7500-8000'. After spotting my buck with three others at 6am, I watched them until about 11:30am when I started my stalk.
The shot came at around 2pm, when at 50 yards and moving in, my buck stood to stretch in his bed. The slightly quartering away shot took him through both lungs. He made it maybe 50 yards before going down.
I was shooting my Hoyt RazorTec, Carbon Tech arrows and Rocket SteelHead 125's. He is 24-1/2 inches wide, 20 inches tall and is a perfect symmetrical 4x4."
