"Leon's Double Droptine Buck"
Photo provided by: Leon Therrien

Leon Therrien writes, "I first seen this deer during the September bow only season in Fort St. John, B.C.. I even got a shot at him, but mis-judged my distance and put the arrow over his back.
When the November gun season opened, I went back to where I had seen him before. The fog was so thick I didn't see anything but tracks from other hunters. My heart kinda sank.
I went back the next morning and the fog started to lift. Two deer materialized...both bucks. After closer inspection, I realized it was my deer. I raised my 7mm at 150 yards and shot and missed.
I was shaking like a leaf...must have been buck fever? The deer didn't know which way the shots came from, so I let him walk into the timber, then I stalked in to where I figured he would be.
I walked straight into the tree's and there he was 30 yards away. One more shot and he was down. This is my nicest deer so far!"
