Eric Craig writes, "This was the first set of horns I found this year. Me and my brother were walking a road glassing some deer on the hillside next to us. He decided to go up to where they were bedded while I was going to continue on the road. I walked around the corner and noticed a deer standing in the field in front of me. I pulled up my binos and noticed he had recently shed his antlers. So, I sat down and started watching him and glassing the field he was in. I started by going around the outside edge of the field and working my way towards the buck. I finally was about 50 yards away and I noticed the set of horns he used to be packing laying there right next to each other. Here is a picture of them as they lay in the field and also a pic of them after I took them home and mounted them on a shed mount. The buck net scored 169 and is super heavy with 6.25 inch bases and a total mass measurement of 40 inches."
