Rob Dunlap writes, "The day started like most hunts...windy. Dave and I unloaded out of the truck about 7:20, grabbed our backpacks and headed out. Not even a mile from the truck, we spotted our buck grazing along an open ridge. We watched the buck, and then started in his direction, stopping to glass every several minutes to make sure he was still there. 1-1/2 hours later, the bedded buck was 90 yards. I took Daves pack from him and laid it across the only yucca between us and the buck. One well placed shot and the buck fell over. What a great hunt."
