Pete Maningas and his wife, Ellen, had themselves a very fun New Mexico antlelope hunt.

Pete writes, "It was Ellen's first big game hunt and she shot this fine antelope at 277 yards with her Savage .270 Weather Warrior. Just to emphasize how hard it is to field judge the size of antelope, we passed up this buck at least four times during the day, thinking he was too small. The antelope scored 80 inches. I have to get used to being out hunted, mine scored 79 inches."
