Dennis Andersen, his wife, Patricia, and kids, Eric and Jeffrey, hunted mule deer for the first time this year in California and had a fantastic time.

Dennis writes, "Eric, 14, got a nice wide 2x3. After harvesting a few coastal blacktail, this guy seemed like a monster.

Jeffrey, 16, got this old non-typical deer that weighed about 300 pounds! His rack wasn't wide or tall, but it had little points coming out everywhere. We reckon this buck was pretty old and his horns were regressing into this gnarly state. Not a bad haul for your first ever deer.

Mom got her 3x3 on the last day. While not as wide as Eric's, the mass at the base of his horns was incredible."
