Jared "J-Rod" Bloomgren wrties, "I headed out to an area that I know holds some true giant bucks and couldn't pass up a shot at a great management deer that I have come to know. He was with two other 5x5's that would score a lot better, but were young deer and have a lot of potential. It is public land and not many people would think twice about shooting them, but I want to see them grow....maybe next year I will have an opportunity at one of those if they make it through the seasons! I watched the bucks come off of their feeding area as they headed to a heavily wooded bedding area. I was able to slip in front of them and stalk to within 40 yards of them as they passed by. I double lunged the deer at 44 yards."
