Scott Spurlock writes, "Over the last 15 year my father (Dan Spurlock) and myself (Scott Spurlock) have put in for trophy bull hunts in Idaho. This year (2013) we finally drew one together. On the first day of the hunt I shot a 6x7 bull (top two photos) about five miles into a hike. He was still herding cows when I spotted him. After an hour of stalking I had to wait another hour for the bull to stand up out of his bed. When ranged he was 478 yards away. I took one shot and my 15 years of waiting was over. It was well worth the wait and would do it again every year if possible.

We spotted my fathers bull three days later about a 1/2 mile away. It was late evening and the bull was herding cows down a hill towards water. After two hours of playing catch up and stalking, my father got a 75 yard shot on this bruiser. Both these elk and the trip will never be forgotten after waiting so long for this opportunity."
