Lisa Atkin writes, "I dropped this mule deer in the Minam Unit, northeastern Oregon in October at 465.5yds with my tricked out Remington 300 ultramag using a single Barnes Vortex 180gr bullet. The rifle has a muzzle brake fitted and sports a bipod stand together with a Leupold VX-3L 4.5-14x50 CDS scope. Due to thick brush the shot took about 40 minutes to line up, and the deer dropped instantly with a shot passing behind the front shoulder and into the spinal neck cavity. The pack out was 4.5 hours. His widest point was 26.5 inches. Very excited about this trophy as a mule deer addict!"
