Leonard Her Many Horses shared with us these photos of the big bull that his son, Louis, took in early October.

Leonard writes, "He was taken on a free roaming elk tag on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation. We began bugling and got a response in a deep canyon. The bull had about a dozen cows with him and had rounded them up to go up the next canyon. As he neared a saddle on the hill, we stopped him with a cow call. My son shot him at 200 yards with a 7mm STW behind the shoulder. The bull went about 50 yards and piled up. He is only 14 and this was his first elk. The bull is an 8x7."
