Jayson Grover, aka bowhuntrJLG here at MonsterMuleys.com, shared with us these photos of the fine success he's had this fall so far. He shared in the New Mexico forum the following.........
"Now that my elk season is over it is back to work for me. I will be checking this site regularly to see pics and posts from others still afield. Thanks to all who post their stories as I greatly enjoy reading them and the short break from reality that they allow.
The first archery season was good to me. It took five days to see my first elk during season (saw lots prior to it of course), and seven long days of hunting to seal the deal on this nice bull, but I am happy to have him and for the meat he has provided my family with. I never had the hot bugling action others are starting to get into now, so had to ambush this guy over water.
I will also post a pic of a nice bear I was blessed to be able to harvest a few days prior to my elk hunt starting. This bear and I crossed paths while I was out scouting for my elk hunt and I just happened to be carrying a weapon "just in case". He has a beautiful hide and squared over six feet. Tastes great.
Good luck to everyone on their upcoming hunts!"
