Markus Haynes writes, "I finally drew after 12 years of putting in for deer hunts, mainly the Book Cliffs for the last 6 years. A friend of mine mentioned Lone Tree Taylor Hollow so I put in and drew it this year. I was provided with a guide named Ray. As a state draw hunter this CWMU and guide treated me with excellent service. Ray and I had glassed for most of the morning seeing nice bucks but not what I was looking for and Ray was committed to finding what I was looking for. About 1300 hours we both spotted a deer bedded down and knew it was a buck but due to the brush we had to wait for him to show us how good he was. When he finally moved in his bed I decided he was the buck I had been looking for. We crawled 30 feet to the edge of the hill exposing ourself on the skyline. As soon as I had the buck in my sights he stood up and I harvested him at 309 yards with 1 shot. As hunting experiences go this was by far the most memorable. My son, Heston Haynes, also drew out and got a nice 3 point 2 days later. His first buck and he couldn't be more happier. I've heard good and bad stories about CWMU's but Lone Tree Taylor Hollow is definitely a great one."
