Rickey Casper (aka RyMan) shared in the forum the fine success that his dad had this year on the late elk hunt. Here's what he posted..........

"2017 Late Season Elk - Dad was able to get it done on his late season tag. 11 week after open heart surgery.

This bull well exceeded our expectations. We had decided the first mature bull would be "the one" due to his limits the Doc had set. At first light we spotted this bull way up canyon from where we had set up. We talked it over and came to the conclusion that if we went for it then physically he might be in trouble the rest of the hunt. He said "lets go for it". It took us another hour to get to the 500 yard mark. Luck have it, the bull had only moved 20 yards. The rest is history. I'm so proud of my dad, his determination was second to none. Thank you to the many friends who helped get this bull packed out and worked so hard to help make it happen."
