Nick Gutcheck writes, "This was the biggest buck I'd seen all season in Southwestern Montana (Top Photo). 4x4, 18 inches wide and 24 inches tall. It took 3 of us to get him off the mountain where I shot him with my old trusty Winchester 30-06 using 180 grain hollow point boat tails at 150 yards. I'd gotten out of the Marines in the spring and couldn't wait for the general season to open, only missed 2 seasons thanks to deployments.
The second buck (Lower Photo) was shot near Bannack State Park in 2004. 2x2, 18 inches wide and 18 1/2 inches tall.
