This fine 4x5 buck was taken by Jonathon Richards in northwest Kansas during the 2000 firearms season. Jonathon had been eyeing the deer long before the rifle season on his grandmothers farm. Jonathon's father, brother, uncle, and cousin, stalked the herd and Jonathon made a nice 150 yard shot with a .243 to bag his first deer. The antlers are 25 inches tall and 24 inches wide. This deer will forever be remembered as a great first buck! Uncle Todd says that they still haven't got the grin off Jonathon's face!
