Danny Barrett has been hunting public land all his life, but it took 27 years to finally draw an x-zone in California.
Danny writes, "I am 39 years old and I have been hunting since I was 12. This nice 4x4 muley is my very first 4x4 buck of any breed. I measured him at 20 inches wide and 15 inches high. Even though he will not make the books, he is my personal best. I shot him chasing a doe with my trusty 30-06 Springfield in Oct. of 2001."

Danny also included a photo of a 21 inch wide blacktail he took in 1993.
