Danny Ciddio writes, "My Dad, Danny Sr., harvested this beautiful bull elk Oct 17th in New Mexico's premier Valle Vidal unit. It was the second day of the hunt when he and I started out on a super windy morning. After about 2 1/2 hrs. of hunting without seeing anything, we headed into a small creek valley where he came across this bull beaded down in the tall grass along the creek. He got within 60 yards of him when the bull moved his head and stood up broadside. My Dad then took aim with his Browning .300 mag and shot. The bull jumped, stumbled 20 yards, and fell into the creek. The bull is a 7x7 with a ton of mass! What a once-in-a-life-time hunt and bull!"
