Beth's first bull elk.

Time was running out, so on the third to last day of the hunt, which was a Friday evening, we decided to take the family and make one last effort to try and find, and hopefully harvest her a bull. The weather was cold, raining, and sometimes snowing, making it difficult to get into the higher country where the elk were still occupying. After hiking for about 1 hour and approximately two miles in bad weather, my wife spotted a cow elk bedded underneath the ridge line. After a few minutes of glassing and a
quick stalk, Beth's hopes and dreams started to come true. To her luck, a nice 6x6 appeared and began feeding in her direction. Once the bull
presented himself broadside, she pulled the trigger. Beth was able to connect a 350 yard shot with a Browning 7mm A-Bolt, and claim her first bull elk. Good job "Hun"!"
