Jeff McKinney writes, "My wife, Meredith, and I had a great time hunting elk together. We had been looking forward to hunting together for many years and finally it came together. She was a true trooper and hiked many miles with me over hill and dale. We hit our feet each day at 4:45 A.M. and hunted until dark and then we headed back to cook dinner and hit the sack at 10 or 11 P.M. each night. Meredith went places that a lot of my hunting buddies would have complained about and showed true character by sticking to it. We hunted north of Craig, CO. and saw 300-400 elk and many bulls, but wanted 2 nice ones. After a few blown stalks on a couple of good bulls, it finally all came together and God blessed our efforts with a mature 5-point bull for Meredith and a 6-point bull and a cow for me. We were very happy to spend these 4 days hunting together and seeing the beautiful country we were in. This will always be a "Hunt to be remembered"."
