Stan writes, "I got this great buck in eastern Colorado with my first muzzleloader tag. The bucks are really putting on the weight this time of year and still hanging out with each other. The wind was blowing 20-25 mph which really helped to conceal our noise while walking. Most of the corn in the area was picked, so we saw numerous deer on the 3 day hunt. Out there you do a lot of walking, glassing and more walking through the deep canyons. I hunted big game in Colorado for 37 years and have only hunted in the mountains 2 times. This photo shows why I like the plains so much."
