Jim Slocum harvested this beautiful 53-inch moose on Sept. 11, 2000 while on a self-guided hunt in Alaska. Jim also saw over 300 caribou, but was unable to get any shots. Though Jim's hunt was self-guided, he was outfitted by Mark Confer of Wild Alaska Trophy Outfitters, and gives his recommendation.
