Todd Deveau writes, "We were walking an old road and we spotted a moose in the timber about 50 yards away. I set Mat up to shoot off of my shoulder as we couldn't find his tripod in the we hours of the morning. The bull made a grunt and stepped out in the road and started coming right towards us. Once it eyeballed us, it turned broadside and Mat shot. I took the gun, loaded it and gave back to Mat and said, "Shoot again", as the moose had turned broadside the other way. Mat fired, I reloaded the .308 again and gave it back to Mat and told him to shoot him in the head. Bang! Down he went. Turns out he's 47" wide, not bad for your first moose!"
