My goal in Colorado was to find a 200-inch slug. On day two of my hunt, I glassed this big buck up bedded in the aspens. I knew he was real wide, but I also knew he was missing a tine and had a short main beam, so I passed on him.
For the next 5 days I hunted hard in search of something more special, but just never did find one. So, on day 8 of my hunt I decided to slip back into the area where I saw this wide buck. I didn't think I'd find him, but he did show himself and I wasn't passing on day 8.
He's my widest buck ever. Sure glad I was able to get him.
