Kelly Kennedy writes, "This was an awesome hunt for my son and I. In January I was diagnosed with stage 4, non Hodgkin’s lymphoma. I was very ill and in renal failure, not sure if I was going to make another hunt with my best friend. In June I finished my last round of chemotherapy, and in July diagnosed full remission and Successful with drawing this elk tag. Aug 30 after many hours of scouting and watching elk; my son and I made this happen. This is the biggest elk I've harvested to date, and one that represents so many challenges and triumphs this year has brought. I am very thankful and blessed for my life, my family, and the ability to harvest this magnificent animal with my son."
