Here's a beast of a bull that Doug Burnett harvested on an early archery hunt in Washington.
Doug's brother, Mark, writes, "His elk is a 9x7 that grosses 411" and nets out at 380 5/8". For years now we have been having close encounters with very large bulls, not having a bull tag in hand all we could do is watch as they walked on by. This year Doug drew the bull tag and as always the close encounter with the big bull was inevitable. Doug shot his bull at 15 yard and the bull dropped after a short 50 yard trot. Two mornings before Doug shot this elk we saw another bull that was bigger than the one he took."
