David Seifert writes, "After 10 years, my dad, Ken Seifert, finally drew a limited entry bull elk tag for Utah. Since I didn't draw out, I went to Utah on the trip to help my dad spot, pack gear and hopefully help him pack out a big bull.
Just before the end of shooting time on the opening day, several bulls began bugling on each side of us. Then one bull bugled and grunted so close to us (maybe 50 yards) that the hair stood up on the backs of our necks! We had the wind right in our face when the bull pushed his seven cows past us from our right to our left. The bull followed his cows to where my dad shot him at an obscenely close 35 yards. My dad's very symmetrical 6x6 bull measured out at 353 inches.
We spent the rest of our trip helping the other two guys in our hunting party take their bulls. Each of their bulls were 300 class bulls as well.
What can I say other than it was an increadible trip."
