David Romero writes, "This is my first bull elk, I've been hunting elk here in New Mexico with a bow for about 8 years with no success, so you could say that I finally got the monkey off my back. My cousin called him in for me from about 10 cows, he was trying to add one more to his harem and that was his last mistake. I shot him at 20 yards right in the boiler on the second morning of the hunt...Sept. 20th. After my shot, he ran off about 60 yards and then walked up a small hill and that was it for him. He scores 338 P&Y. I also called in a very nice bull for my cousin that he shot at 35 yards. It's shown in the last photo. It was my best hunt ever."
