"Kelly's 11x9, 203 Gross Archery Buck"
Photo provided by: Kelly Silbernagel

Kelly Silbernagel writes, "This was a buck that I had seen twice before in southern Saskatchewan while out scouting. I missed my shot the first time because the fletching fell off the new arrows that I had just bought from an archery shop the week before. This caused the deer to take off unhurt. Then, the next weekend I went out (I work all week and can't get out until weekends), and seen him again a short time before dark. I spot and stalk archery hunt, and I sat and watched him for a long time and he would not stand up. It was getting dark, so I had to yell to get him to stand, when he did I got a shot into him. I left him until morning and found him with his horns tangled in the fence. He has 11 points on one side and 9 on the other. He finishes at 203 5/8" non-typical with 6" circumferences."

Read the story in an upcoming issue of Trophy Hunter Magazine.
