Greg Verlander writes, "I was one of the fortunate ones to draw a Unit 27 bull tag in Arizona. My little brother, Keith, flew all the way from Kansas City, Missouri to help me with my quest to harvest a nice archery bull.

Opening day, Keith called in a nice 340 bull within 40 yards, but the wind was swirling so much that the bull winded us. Second day he called in 4 decent bulls and 3 spikes, I chose to wait it out for a bigger one. On the 3rd day, it seemed that the bulls had gone call shy, so we decided to make a stalk on a bull that was bugling about every 3 to 5 minutes. It proved successful; we stalked to within 25 yards of this nice 8x6 bull, scoring right around 350. My other hunting partner, Josh Brown, managed to harvest himself a nice 6x6 bull as well, scoring about 320."
