Chris had a 2nd chance at this monster and made it count. Talk about a buck of a lifetime!

Chris writes, Here is the buck I harvested on public land in Oregon. I missed this same buck on the 3rd day of the season. A miss I was sure that I would regret the rest of my life as I was sure I would not ever get a chance at a buck that big again. But as it worked out 12 days later hunting the same area I found him again with 10 does. He was only about 100 yards from where I had missed him. The does made a perfect distraction as he did not seem to care about anything. I got my first miss back (so to speak) and when I let my arrow fly it hit him perfect (double lung). He only went about 30 yards and expired. Not only is he my best buck ever but I got to share the whole experience with a good friend of mine from Georgia. On the same trip 4 days later I got to harvest my first bull elk. My buddy from Georgia called him in (yes the same on that was there when I killed my buck) I think he is my new good luck charm. We will see what happens when I fly to Georgia to hunt whitetail deer with him in October.
