Kit writes, "Here is my 2007 high country muley taken on the fifth day of a nine day hunt. I nearly ended my hunt on the first day after spotting a buck around 190 inches with nearly six inch eye gaurds, but after watching him for almost four hours I decided to pass on him hoping to find some of the bigger bucks I had seen on earlier scouting trips. The next few days were filled with snow, rain, wind, and a lot of lightning that had the deer held up pretty tight. It wasn't until the fifth morning that I finally spotted this buck and two other bucks feeding down an open hillside at about 1200 yards. I watched them feed into a small timber pocket below me at around 9:00, so I took this opportunity to close the distance to just over 300 yards. The bucks didn't show themselves again until 4:30 that afternoon.Patience and a lot of pre-season scouting trips had finally paid of with this 204 inch high country muley."
