Brad writes, "Here are a few shots of my 2007 Archery Buck taken on the 'Thousand Lakes' unit in Southern Utah. Opening weekend my dad (Troy Bentley), a friend of mine (Kenderick Wilson) and I spotted over 50 bucks in a relativley small area. Several of which would've scored in the 150-170's. After a couple of failed stalk attempts, I wasn't able to close the deal and would have to wait until next weekend. The following Saturday my dad and my father-in-law (Vance Brown) were on the mountain with me to try again. While my father-in-law scouted for deer on the other side of the mountain, my dad and I were in the process of stalking a potential shooter. I first spotted this buck from about 50 yards away and was able to quickly sneak to about 30 yards away before he noticed me. I quickly ranged him in and prepared to let one go. The buck took one step forward and to the right, placing him right down the middle of my quakie & pine covered shooting lane. Before I knew it, I had an arrow knocked and it was on the way. From the angle I had...I thought I had shot a little low and missed, but my dad said he watched it hit him. I immidiatley noticed the buck start to swagger and lose the strength in his legs. Within 20 yards from the location of the shot, he fell to the ground with no struggle. The buck measures 24" wide and about 20"
Congratulations Brad. Thats a solid Archery buck!
