Michael Boehm writes, "I was able to harvest this trophy blacktail buck in October, 2003. He was taken about 45 miles from my home in SW Oregon, scores 132 3/8, and will be entered in the 2006 edition of the Northwest Big Game record book for the state of Oregon.

On the day I took this buck, I'd passed up a smaller four point and was in the process of deciding which was the larger of two more that had come out. As I was looking at them, this bruiser appeared and stood there watching the 1st two. He was so obviously larger that I didn't think twice and when he gave me the shot, I dropped him with my 7mm Weatherby Mag at 188 yards."
