Rick writes, "I am on active, duty Marine Corps., stationed in California. In my 19 1/2 years in the Corps. I have only missed 4 hunting seasons due to being deployed out of the country. This year (2001), the family and I packed up and headed north. On the last morning I was going to be able to hunt, my dad, Uncle, and I headed out before dark with permission to hunt on some closed property. What a great deal that was! I had this nice muley down and in the truck by 8:30 a.m., with the help of my dads eagle eyes. He spotted this buck over the edge of the road, and he wasn't hangin around. It took me a good 1/4 mile sprint back down the road to get a clean shot.
I am due to retire in April 2002 and can't wait to get back to Montana for good".
