Hal Thomas was fortunate enough to draw a Kaibab west tag his past season. He wanted to make the most of it, so he hired Bruce Felker and U.S. Outfitters to help him find a trophy.
Hal writes, "The weather was hot and nothing much was happening for the first two days. We didn't even see a buck. On the morning of the third day, the bucks appeared. We saw three different smaller bucks chasing does. We then discovered a trick tank with a lot of sign and someone had built a nice blind nearby. I decided to sit there for the afternoon hunt.
I wasn't there an hour when this monster came along following a doe, not even going for the water. He just came out of the woodwork and my Christensen Arms .338 Ultra put him on my wall".

The buck is a 5x8 and gross scores 209-3/8.
