"Randy's One Antlered Nevada Buck"
Photo provided by: Tom Copling

Tom Copling's good buddy, Randy, took his first Nevada mule deer in 2002.

Tom writes, "We had hunted for three days in central Nevada and passed on a few smaller bucks and were starting to feel the pressure of running out of time. We watched a group of does and small bucks for an hour or so, and then I noticed this guy about 400 yards away. We moved up closer to him and could see he was larger than those we had seen previously. Randy took him down and we hiked up the hill to get him. I was the first to get to the buck and noticed something odd. What? It couldn't be.......A one horned buck? We had looked this guy over but never realized through the trees and brush that he had only one side of his rack. Randy was still happy with the hunt and came to the conclusion that this guy tasted allot better than "TAG SOUP"."
