Chester Dodgson writes, "I harvested this fine buck on Nov. 26th, 2002. With the days getting so short, my hunting had came down to checking a few sweat spots every morning and going to work. On the morning I harvested my buck, I had my kids along for the ride. It was great that they could watch dad put the stalk on this buck. We watched him as he came out across a field to intercept a doe. With the rut in full swing, he never paid much attention to me as I stocked him along the edge of the field. At 120 yards, I had a clear shot. He went down with one well placed 180 grain Super Slam hand load out of my 300 Winchester Mag. The buck scores 185 6/8 gross, my best to-date by 4 inches."
