"Nevada Muley Success for Matthew"
Photo provided by: Matthew Bunker

Matthew Bunker writes, "I first spotted this nice 4 point at dusk the day before the hunt. I watched him graze and then he bedded down about 100 yards down in a ravine. The next morning I hiked my butt off all over the Northeastern Nevada mountains looking for this buck. I spotted a very heavy 2-point with a large high spread, but could not take the shot, hoping I would spot the 4-point I saw the night before. I continued the next day with no luck. The following weekend I returned to the same high desert canyon with my son, set up camp and hiked up the ridge where I spotted the nice 4-point the week before. Walking down the ravine, I jumped 3 bucks out of a patch of aspens. The bucks immediately took off towards the top of the ridge (my 4-point in the lead). I ran up to the top of the ridge and at that point the bucks were about 300 yards up the mountain, just yards from going over the other side. So, I took a deep breath and fired a shot from my Win. .270 and dropped this 4-point I had been dreaming about all week."
