Dustin Crandall writes, "We got another great Colorado buck this year! We were hunting during the 2nd combined rifle season. We didn't see anything all week and on the 5th day we went to hunt a new area that was lower in elevation. According to a Colorado game biologist, due to the severe winter last year the elk and deer herds moved south toward New Mexico and the majority did not migrate back to the high country. As we left the truck that morning and started up the trail, I spotted the silhouette of this 4x5 giant muley amongst the sage and pinion about 120 yards away. What a way to start out the day!"
