John Franklin, aka BLU in the MonsterMuleys.com forums, downed this great buck while hunting in California.
John writes, "I finally was able to get my 30 incher and it is in California! What an awesome hunt. It started with a late season tag that I was finally drawn for after 30 years and I took this buck on the second day of the hunt. My son, Taylor, spotted this buck from about 2000 yards out, so we put the sneak on him and finally at 190 yards (true ballistic range) at a 34 degree angle downhill, with all three of my kids assisting and my daughters boyfriend, I was able to let the .270 Weatherby Magnum torch one off...putting this buck down for good. He is 30-1/4 inch wide 4x4 that scores around 175.
Ironically, my son who spotted this dude was also able to take a 34-1/2 incher in 2004 in the same area with the same gun. His picture is posted in the 2004 bucks and bulls photos. What an awesome hunt!"
